10 Replacement and Disposal
After the device has reached the end of its useful life, it must be dismounted and disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner.
During dismounting, components that may present a risk of injury by contamination,
depending on the medium, are removed. Depending on the processed medium, the
components must be properly decontaminated. Diffusible components (diaphragm, O-ring, etc.) may
have to be taken to a special disposal unit, depending on the medium used.
If no return or disposal agreement has been signed, disassembled components should be recycled:
• Metals should be scrapped
• The remaining components should be disposed of after sorting according to material.
