4.7. Batteries
The device and remote control are battery-operated. Please note
the following:
• Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children. Do
not swallow batteries as they can cause chemical burns. Bat-
teries are not a toy!
• Avoid contact with battery acid. If battery acid comes into
contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes, rinse the af-
fected areas with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor
as soon as possible.
WARNING!
Risk of chemical burns!
The remote control supplied with the product contains
a coin battery. If this battery is swallowed, it can cause
serious internal chemical burns within 2 hours, which
may prove fatal.
Seek medical help immediately if you think that bat-
teries may have been swallowed or secreted in any
part of the body.
• Stop using the device and remote control if you cannot close
the battery compartment securely, and keep the device and
remote control well away from children.
• Before inserting the batteries, check that the contacts in the
device/remote control and on the batteries are clean and, if
necessary, clean them.
• Always use new batteries of the same type. Never use old and
new batteries together.
• Pay attention to the polarity (+/–) of the device and remote
control when inserting the batteries.
• There is a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrect-
ly! Only replace batteries with those of the same or an equiva-
lent type.
