7.4. Battery operation – inserting the batteries into
the main device
 The battery compartment is located on the underneath of the device.
 Release both latches and remove the battery compartment cover.
 Insert six 1.5 V R14/LR14/C batteries (not supplied) with the negative ends on
the springs. Refer to the diagram in the battery compartment!
 Replace the battery compartment cover. The latches must be locked into place.
 The device is battery-operated if no mains adaptor is connected to the AC IN.
 The device is now in standby mode.
WARNING!
Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly.
 Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent
type.
7.5. Mains operation – connecting the mains adaptor
 Connect the supplied mains adaptor to the AC IN socket on the rear of the de-
vice.
 Plug the mains adaptor into an easily accessible 220–240V ~ 50/60Hz mains
socket.
The device is mains-operated even if batteries are inserted at the same time.
