A power harness, connected to the engine starting battery, minimizes voltage drop to the
electrical system. This harness is protected by a 5 amp fuse.

The Quicksilver Three‑Button Power Trim Control Panel is further protected by a 20 amp
in‑line fuse.

A 20 amp in‑line fuse protects the Quicksilver MerCathode System, if equipped. The fuse
is located in the wire connecting the positive (+) terminal on the controller. If the fuse fails,
the system will not operate and corrosion protection will be disabled.

Audio Warning System
IMPORTANT: The audio warning system alerts the operator that a problem has occurred.
It does not protect the engine from damage.
Your Mercury MerCruiser power package may be equipped with an audio warning system.
Most faults cause the warning horn circuit to activate. How the warning horn activates
depends on the severity of the problem.
There are three warning horn states:
• Caution
• Severe
