California Emissions Regulations
An emission certification label, showing emission levels and engine
specifications directly related to emissions, is placed on the engine at the
time of manufacture.
EMISSION CONTROL
INFORMATION
THIS ENGINE IS RATED AT GREATER THAN 500 HP
(CRANKSHAFT) AND IS THEREFORE EXEMPT FROM
CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS REGULATIONS FOR
SPARK - IGNITION MARINE ENGINES.

Engine Break‑in
!
CAUTION
Severe damage to the engine can result by not complying with the
Engine Break‑in Procedure.
1 Hr. Break‑in Procedure
Do not exceed 5000 RPM
5 Hr. Break‑in Procedure
Allow engine to warm‑up for 3‑5 minutes.
Do not exceed 3/4 throttle.
Avoid full throttle acceleration from idle speed.
Always vary throttle setting.
Run engine the majority of time between 2500 ‑ 4500 RPM.
Frequently check engine oil level at reservoir sight tube. Add oil if needed.
It is normal for oil consumption to be high during break‑in period.
After Break‑In Period
