Unclip and remove the trim panel around the radio and A/C control.

Remove Radio and A/C Control

Remove screws securing radio and A/C control from the sub dash.

Remove Switch Panel

Remove screws securing switch panel below climate controls.

Remove Radio

Remove Radio/Instrument Panel

Dash Disassembly - Suzuki XL-7

Remove Shifter Knob

Disconnect Battery

Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental short circuits.

Remove Top Trim Panel

Remove Radio Trim Panel

Unclip and remove the radio trim panel including A/C vents.

Remove Shifter Trim Panel

Remove Radio Screws

Final Assembly and Wiring

Prepare Wiring Connections

Strip wire ends, twist together, solder, and tape connections.

Connect Wiring Harness

Locate factory harness, use mating adapter, and make connections.

Reconnect Battery and Test

Reconnect negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation.

Reassemble Dash

Reassemble radio and dash assemblies in reverse order of disassembly.

Wiring Color Code

Reference EIA color code chart for Metra/vehicle wiring connections.
