Appendix F: Maintenance Schedule
To maintain the good performance, Microfluidics International Corporation recommends establishing a
routine maintenance schedule, typically done annually, but we do have customers with heavy-daily usage,
who schedule bi-annual preventive maintenance proposals or possibly more. Some of the benefits of
having Preventive Maintenance done of your machine are:
• Extends the life of the system
• Maintains optimal performance and efficiency of your system
• Reduces / Eliminates downtime
• Reduces cost associated with unplanned repairs
The Recommended Service Intervals for the LM20 are in the table below. Note: these are subject to
change based on usage, product processed, environment, and other conditions.
Clean Suction Strainer
Every 500 Hours/12 Months
Rebuild Inlet Check Valve
Replace High Pressure Seals
Replace Directional Valve O-Rings
Verify Electrical Connections
Verify Motor Current Draw
Verify Hydraulic Connections
Check Accumulator Charge
Inspect Oil Breather Cap
