Installation should ensure that the inverter’ s AC output is, at no time, connected to its AC input.
WARNING – LIMITATIONS ON USE
The Power Pak should not be used in connection with critical life support systems as it is not a
redundant power source.
5.2 Precautions When Working with Batteries
If battery acid contacts skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water. If acid contacts the eye,
immediately flush the eye with running cold water for at least 20 minutes and get medical attention
immediately.
Never smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of a battery or engine.
Do not drop a metal tool on the battery. The resulting spark or short-circuit may cause an explosion.
Remove metallic personal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces, and watches when working with a battery.
A battery can produce a short-circuit current high enough to weld a ring or other metallic items, causing a
severe burn.
To reduce the risk of injury, charge only rechargeable batteries such as deep-cycle lead acid, lead antimony,
lead calcium gel cell, absorbed mat, NiCad/NiFe or lithium ion batteries. Other types of batteries may burst,
causing personal injury and/or damage.
