To defrost the coil, set the unit to FAN ONLY mode. Also, the air filter may be dirty, so clean it and set to FAN ONLY mode to defrost. If the thermostat is set too cold for night-time cooling, set to FAN ONLY mode to defrost the coil and then set the temperature to a higher setting.

      If the air from your Midea Air Conditioner doesn't feel cold enough, it could be due to several reasons: If the room temperature is below 62°F (17°C), cooling may not occur until it rises above this temperature. Check if the temperature sensor behind the air filter is touching the cold coil and try to move it. Reset to a lower temperature. If the compressor shut off due to changing modes, wait approximately 3 minutes for it to restart when set to COOL mode. Also, check for obstructions blocking the outdoor intake/exhaust and clear them.
