Energy saving features
Lighting
The oven lighting is set to switch off
15 seconds after the start of a cooking
programme (default setting). See
"Settings - Lighting".
Door contact switch
If the oven door is opened during
operation, the door contact switch
automatically switches off the heating
elements and the fan, if a "Fan" setting
is being used. This helps reduce the
amount of heat lost from the oven
interior, e.g. when basting roast meat.
At the same time, the oven lighting is
switched on.
Using residual heat
The oven heating switches off
automatically shortly before the end of
a cooking programme where the
cooking duration has been
programmed or the food probe is being
used.
The residual heat in the oven is
sufficient to complete the cooking
process.
"Energy save" will appear in the display.
The cooling fan continues to run, as
does the hot air fan if a "Fan" setting
has been chosen.
Energy save mode
The oven switches off automatically to
save energy if, at the end of an Auto
-
matic programme or a cooking
programme with Automatic switch-off,
no other cooking function is selected
within a certain time period.
This time period depends on the
settings selected (cooking function,
temperature, cooking duration).
Either the time of day is displayed or
the display is dark: see "Settings - Time
- Display".
