SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
Display of software version
Software versions can be displayed during start-up by
keeping the
-key pad pressed. When the key pad
is released, it is possible to change between display of
1: Wire feed unit software version
2: Welding program package version
3: Power source software version
4: MIG Manager
®
software version
5: Robot Interface software version
6: RoboFeeder 1 software version
7: RoboFeeder 2 software version
by means of the right control knob. A press on the
right control knob returns to normal display mode and
welding can start.
Special configuration of Internal/external
control (does not apply to MIG Manager
®
)
A short pressure on the keypad changes
between internal and external control. The indicator
above the knob is switched on/flashes, when external
control has been selected.
Configuration:
The following possibilities (MIG/MAG) can be selected
after a long pressure (> 5 secs.) on the
-keypad.
1 = Dialog torch (factory setting)
2 = 3-sequence torch
(not possible in Basic control panel)
3 = Remote control
4 = 7-sequence torch
(not possible in Basic control panel)
Turn on the right control knob until the requested
number is shown. Press on the right control knob or
on the
-keypad and the number is then accepted.
In MMA it is only possible to connect a remote control,
so this is automatically selected when external control
is activated.
Dialog torch:
Current/wire feed speed/material thickness can be
adjusted both on the left control knob internally and on
the control wheel on the welding torch.
Voltage trim/voltage/arc-adjust can be adjusted from
the right control knob on the control panel.
Sequence torch:
3/7 sequences are automatically defined when
selecting external control. Change of sequences can
only be carried out from the torch. All other settings
are carried out internally on the control panel.
Remote control:
Current/wire feed speed/material thickness can be
adjusted both on the left control knob internally and
from the control knob on the remote control.
Voltage/arc-adjust can be adjusted both from the right
control knob internally and from the control knob on
the remote control.
Voltage trim can only be adjusted from the remote
control.
Lock function
Lock/unlock of the control panel is possible by keeping
the
-key pad pressed while pressing the -key
pad for around 1 sec. Displays are switched off shortly
to indicate that the command has been accepted. The
choice is stored even though the machine is switched
off and on again.
The key lock function has two levels, where level 1 is
factory setting. Here only the advanced functions are
locked. That is:
- Program selection
- Secondary parameters
- Change in number of sequences
- Error log
- Torch configuration
- Water cooling configuration
- Pulse
- DuoPLUS
Press the
-key pad (> 5 secs.) if level 2 is
requested. When
is indicated, the -key pad
should be pressed, until F50 disappears.
At level 2, the same functions as in level 1 are locked
and besides this the following:
- Current / wire feed speed / plate thickness
- Trim voltage
- Arc adjust
- Tack ON/OFF
- 4-times ON/OFF
Even though the machine is locked, it will always be
possible to control the machine from a robot interface
and to use the functions:
- Inching
- Gas test
- Change of sequence (both from panel and
trigger).
There is no indication of the level to which the
machine has been set.
