Ink or any Other Liquid Used with the
Product
Precautions regarding ink are indicated on the Ink bottle. Thoroughly read and make sure you understand
these precautions before use.
• Take appropriate measures to prevent leakage or discharge into bodies of water or domestic
waste water systems. Some constituents are toxic to aquatic life.
• Be sure to read the safety data sheet (SDS) before use.

• Always wear safety glasses, gloves, and the mask provided when handling ink, maintenance
cleaning solution, waste ink, or other solutions used in this machine. Failure to do so may result
in ink or other liquids splashing and coming into contact with the skin, eyes, or mouth.
• Do not subject Ink bottle to strong impact or violent shaking/agitation. Do not attempt to refill the
unauthorized ink. Disregarding this precaution may result in ink leaking and coming into contact
with the skin, eyes, or mouth.
• Do not disassemble Ink bottle. Disregarding this precaution may result in ink leaking and coming
into contact with the skin, eyes, or mouth.
• Avoid storing consumable items in locations accessible to children.
• To dispose of the ink tank, contact an industrial waste disposal operator or dispose of the ink
tank in accordance with the local laws and regulations.
• Do not use the ink, washing liquid, or any other liquid used with the product in other printers.
Disregarding this precaution may result in damage to the printer.
• Do not touch the contacts on the ink IC chips or allow them to become dirty. Disregarding this
precaution may result in chip failure.
• Store in a low location not more than 1 m above the ground. Disregarding this precaution may
result in ink, washing liquid, or any other liquid used with the product splashing if dropped.
• Store in sealed containers.
• Store in a cool, dark location.
(1) When moving ink from cold to warm locations, allow to stand for at least three hours at the location where it will be
used. Note that using ink after it has frozen may result in changes in ink composition and affect print quality. Store
ink in a location where it will not freeze.
(2) Open ink immediately before use. Use as quickly as possible after opening. Print quality may be reduced if
considerable time elapses after the ink is first opened.
