Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the pin part exceeding the fixing block from the tail of the
pin, until the tail of the pin totally enters into the right hole on the fixing block. At this time, a
slot appears at the pin head.
Continue to pry the pin from this slot by using the flathead screwdriver until the pin falls off
the right hole on the fixing block (no need to fall off the fixing block).
f Take out the gas spring.
You are advised to put the column horizontally on the ground or another bench. Then pull up
the outer column to the highest point and then detach the gas spring from the outer column
(withdraw from the upper and lower fixing blocks).
Extract the gas spring upwards from the slot of the outer column.
Note: Exercise caution when the outer column moves upwards or downwards to avoid
injuring your hands.
