3.1.3 Brake Operation
The tip deflection brake inspection should be performed on the transducer after taking it out
of the box and prior to each exam.
1. Conrmthebrakeisintheunlockedposition.
2. Deectthetiptotheanteriordirection.
3. Movethebraketothelockedposition.
4. Conrmthatthetipislockedinthedeectedposition.
5. Unlockthebrakeandconrmthetipstraightenseasily.
6. Repeatsteps1-5fortheotherdirections.
