What to do if a Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier shows a regenerative error?
M
Mary EatonAug 2, 2025
If you're encountering a regenerative error with your Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if parameter No. 0 is set correctly. Second, ensure the built-in regenerative resistor or regenerative option is properly connected. If you are running high-duty operation or continuous regenerative operation, try reducing the frequency of positioning, using a regenerative option with larger capacity, or reducing the load. Also, verify that the power supply voltage is not above 535VAC. Finally, the servo amplifier or regenerative option may be faulty and need to be changed, or the regenerative transistor may be faulty and the servo amplifier should be replaced.

Why does my Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier show an overvoltage error?
L
Lawrence MurrayAug 6, 2025
If your Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier is showing an overvoltage error, several factors could be the cause. Check the lead of the built-in regenerative resistor or regenerative option for opens or disconnections; change the lead or connect correctly. If the regenerative transistor is faulty, change the servo amplifier. For wire breakage of the built-in regenerative resistor, change the servo amplifier. For wire breakage of regenerative option, change the regenerative option. If the capacity of the built-in regenerative resistor or regenerative option is insufficient, add a regenerative option or increase the capacity. Finally, verify that the power supply voltage is not too high by checking the power supply.

How to fix large rotation ripples at low speed on Mitsubishi Electric MELSERVO-J2-Super Amplifier?
M
Megan WarnerAug 10, 2025
If you notice large rotation ripples (speed fluctuations) at low speed with your Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier, it's likely due to a gain adjustment fault. To resolve this, increase the auto tuning response level and repeat acceleration and deceleration several times to complete auto tuning.

What to do if Mitsubishi Electric MELSERVO-J2-Super Amplifier servo motor shaft oscillates due to large load inertia?
D
Danielle GonzalezAug 14, 2025
If a large load inertia moment causes the servo motor shaft to oscillate side to side on your Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier, the cause is likely a gain adjustment fault. If the servo motor may be run with safety, repeat acceleration and deceleration several times to complete auto tuning.

Why is Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier servo motor shaft not servo-locked?
C
Christina KingAug 18, 2025
If the servo motor shaft of your Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier is not servo-locked, and is free, it could be due to a couple of reasons:
1. Servo-on (RYn0) is not input due to a wiring mistake. Check the display to see if the servo amplifier is ready to operate.
2. 24VDC power is not supplied to COM. Check the external I/O signal indication to see if the servo-on (RYn0) signal is ON.

Why is the LED not lit or flickering on my Mitsubishi Electric MELSERVO-J2-Super?
L
Linda AvilaAug 23, 2025
The LED on your Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier might not be lit or may flicker due to several potential issues:
* A power supply voltage fault. This is not improved if connectors CN1A, CN1B, CN2 and CN3 are disconnected.
* A faulty servo amplifier. This is also not improved if connectors CN1A, CN1B, CN2 and CN3 are disconnected.
* A shorted power supply of CN1 cabling. This is improved when connectors CN1A and CN1B are disconnected.
* A shorted power supply of encoder cabling or a faulty encoder. This is improved when connector CN2 is disconnected.
* A shorted power supply of CN3 cabling. This is improved when connector CN3 is disconnected.

How to fix undervoltage on a Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier?
K
Kayla JamesAug 27, 2025
If your Mitsubishi Electric Amplifier is experiencing undervoltage, the power supply voltage may be low, so check the power supply. Alternatively, there may be faulty parts in the servo amplifier; if an alarm (AL.10) occurs when power is switched on after disconnecting all cables except the control circuit power supply cables, change the servo amplifier.
