TROUBLE-SHOOTING
The MKAT software has started but the test system isn’t running.
Check power on main rack: Verify that the main rack’s power is on. Check the
right-hand panel of the main rack, which has 6 green LEDs and a rocker switch.
Ensure the rocker switch is in the ON or “1” position. Conrm that the green
STANDBY LED is ON, indicating that AC power is connected.
If the green STANDBY LED is not on: Check the AC supply. If the system has a
mains distribution unit (MDU), check that the isolator and all circuit breakers are
in the “1” or ON position. The green circuit breakers should be illuminated.
MDU Safety System Check: If the MDU is equipped with a safety system featuring
an Emergency (E) Stop button, ensure the E Stop is in the reset position by
twisting it clockwise. Make sure all interlock plugs or umbilical terminators are
properly tted. If a START button is present, isolate the AC supply for at least 5
seconds, then restore the supply before pressing the START button. This ensures
a full reset of the safety system.
Finding the MKAT software version
Open either the MKAT Runner or Editor software. The software version number is
displayed in the bottom right corner of the home screen. Note: MKAT Runner and
Editor software versions may differ from each other. The version number may be
required when contacting support.
Restoring original conguration les for MKAT
Conguration les contain essential details about the system hardware, including
limits and settings, as well as calibration information linked to the PC name. If the PC
name has been changed recently, the cong might be lost, as the MKAT Runner
software maps congurations based on the PC name.
To reimport the cong les: Check the USB or CD provided with the system,
which typically contains the factory conguration; look for a saved copy of the
conguration on the C:/ drive; or contact MK Test Systems for help.
To import or export the conguration: In the MKAT Runner software, go to the
Cong menu. Select the Admin tab, then choose ‘Import Cong’ to import
conguration les or ‘Export Cong’ to save the current conguration.
