2.4 Mounting The Camera With Outdoor Wall Mount
2.4.1 Aiming The Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR)
When mounting the camera, make sure that the PIR sensor points into the direction where
it is most useful. The PIR sensor has a range of approximately 10m and a detection
angle of approximately ±15 degrees.
The available positions are identified by means of the mounting height of the MOBOTIX
D14D and the alignment of the bottom plate, which can be completed in 15° increments.
Hint: It may be useful to mark the ideal position of the PIR sensor on the bottom plate
with a pencil.
