MOGLabslasersincludesanumberoffeaturestoprotectyouandyour
laser.
Protection relay Whenthepowerisoff,orifthelaserisoff,thelaserdiodeisshorted
via a normally-closed solid-state relay at the laser head board.
Emission indicator The MOGLabscontroller willilluminatetheemission warningindi-
catorLED immediatelywhenthelaserisswitchedon. Therewill
then be a delay of at least 2 seconds before actual laser emission.
Interlock Itisassumedthatthelaserpowersupplyiskeyed andinterlocked
forsafety. The laser headboard also providesconnection for an
interlock (seeappendix B),ifused withapower supplywhich does
not include such an interlock.
