4. Put LP Front Panel back in the unit and secure wires with cable ties to relieve stress. You may want to add a drop
of silicon adhesive to solder points after testing them. This will insure the connections do not come loose.
5. Connect wire assemblies to corresponding headers on CV Out PCB.
6. Stick Adhesive cable holders onto LP as shown above. Placement is very important! You must leave enough slack
for cables. Make sure Wire Assemblies are not stressing solder joints.
Section D Calibrating/Testing CV Outputs
Check outputs with an oscilloscope for following specs:
a. Gate is 0 to +5V
b. Mod max is approx +/- 3 Volts (see next section for details)
c. Envelopes are 0 to 5 Volts
d. Calibrate pitch for 1 volt/octave. Play lowest E on “CA CALIBRATION” preset. Pitch voltage should be
close to zero. Play E two octaves up and trim offset to be 2 volts higher. (Example: If lowest 'E' Pitch CV
yields .018V, turn trimmer R11 so the next highest octave 'E' is 2.018 V).
Additional Mod Bus Output Notes
1. Sine Wave Max -3 to + 3 volts.
2. Square Wave Max 0 to +3 volts.
3. Ramp/Sawtooth Max -3 to +3 volts.
4. Filt Env 0 to +5V (same as Filter CV).
5. Osc2 is pre-"Osc 2 Level" control. Max +5 to -5 volts (differs for different wave shapes)
6. Noise/SnH Max -3 to + 3 volts.
LP Tribute Addendum
Please read the Stage Mod directions (above) before proceeding with the Tribute addendum. This addendum builds
on the information already presented there. Tribute Mods require a different wiring scheme as well as drilling.
In addition to parts listed in Stage directions, you will also need:
Drill Press
PDF Drilling template (email: techsupport@moogmusic.com)
1/2” drill bit
1” Forstner bit
