THE BROWSER
Presets and Timbres are loaded from memory via the Browser. Before opening the Browser, note that
the HOME screen shows the name of the current Preset, plus the names of the individual Timbre(s)
that comprise that Preset. Remember that each Preset can contain up to three individual Synths. If the
Preset is assigned to the current Performance Set, the SET, BANK , and PRESET elds will show its
location.
NOTE: Sequences, Effect Settings, and Modulation Matrices are saved and loaded from their respective
MORE pages. The Browser and the SAVE button functions are only applicable to Presets and Synths.
TAGS
Along the bottom edge of the HOME screen
are the Tags assigned to the current Preset,
in terms of TYPE, CATEGORY, MOOD,
and GROUP. These tags make it easy to
search for Presets by narrowing the list.
While all of the tag types come with some
preloaded suggestions, the user is free
to create their own CATEGORY, MOOD,
and GROUP divisions. Only TYPE has
xed options - SINGLE, LAYER, SPLIT, and
MULTI. Generally, one would use SINGLE
for a Preset using a single Synth. SPLIT for
multiple Synths playing in different areas
of the keyboard, LAYER for multiple Synths stacked on the same keys, and MULTI for a Preset combing
SPLITS and LAYERS, etc.
NOTES
Pressing the SHOW NOTES Soft Button
at the top of the HOME screen will replace
the Tag information with any performance
notes that were saved with the Preset.
These notes can be anything that may
be of value to the player/performer, from
a reminder about changing keys for the
bridge or singing backups on the chorus,
to starting on the pickup count of three.
To return to the previous (Tag) screen, just
press the SHOW INFO Soft Button.
