HARDWARE SETTINGS
These parameters specify how the panel hardware behaves, the intensity of the LEDs, and other
factors relating to interaction with your Moog One.
KNOB MODE (ABSOLUTE, PASS THROUGH, RELATIVE)
Having hardware knobs on a programmable synthesizer means that once a new Preset is loaded, a
knob will no longer reect the current value of that parameter. Knob Mode determines how a knob
should respond when it is tweaked.
ABSOLUTE
In this mode, the parameter value will immediately jump to match the current position of the
hardware knob.
PASS THROUGH
In this mode, the parameter value will remain unchanged as the knob is turned, until the knob
position matches the current value. So, in this case, the knob must pass through the current
setting before it becomes active. From then on, the knob will function normally.
RELATIVE
In this mode, the value range is scaled so that the current value is matched to the actual
knob position, and the remaining knob range equals the distance from the saved value to the
minimum or maximum extreme. The minimum and maximum values remain the same, and
once the knob has been turned to the end of its physical range, it will function normally.
CHORD MEMORY (SILENT LEARN, AUDIBLE LEARN)
Entering notes into the CHORD Memory note stack using the LEARN button can be done audibly, so
you can hear the notes as they are entered, or silently so that the audience doesn’t hear you loading
the chord in a performance situation
SILENT LEARN
In this mode, the output of the active Synth is muted while the LEARN button is engaged,
allowing the chord to be learned discreetly.
AUDIBLE LEARN
In this mode, the output of the active Synth is unaffected by the LEARN button.
LCD BRIGHTNESS (0% to 100%)
The brightness of the LCD panel in the Center Console is controlled by this parameter.
PANEL LED BRIGHTNESS (0% to 100%)
This one parameter proportionally controls the brightness of every LED on the Front Panel.
SHOW BANK PREVIEW (OFF, ON)
When the Show Bank Preview parameter is set to On, selecting a BANK button (A - H) from the
Performance Set area will open a preview screen showing the Names and locations of all the Presets
assigned to that Bank. The preview screen will not appear when the Show Bank Preview parameter is Off.
PRESET AUTOLOAD (OFF, ON)
When Autoload is set to On, scrolling through a list of saved Presets, Synths, Sequences, Modulation
Matrices, or Effects, etc. will immediately load the next highlighted item as you rotate the Master
Encoder; there is no need to press down on the Master Encoder or select the LOAD Soft Button from
the top of the screen to nish loading the selected item. This can be useful to quickly load sounds
arranged in order, but may be a hindrance when just reviewing the list. In this case, keep the Autoload
parameter set to Off.
