3. Grip the ear rod plates with both hands and open them up
all the way.
4. Make it easy for the patient to take his place by raising the
nasion plate and moving it out.
5. Put the ear rods on their studs.
6. Have the patient put on an X-ray protection apron and stand
directly underneath the craniostat.
