* Software density compensation is applied to create the optimum image. However, if some areas of the image
are exceptionally dark, the density compensation will tend to make the entire image whiter than usual.
* For an enlarged digital image, there are junction lines that are not visible when the image is displayed initially.
However, if the image is magnified, they appear as fine, horizontal lines dividing the image in thirds. These
lines are where the three CCD sensors come together.
* There are seven, one-millimeter steel balls lined up in the center
of the nasion plate at intervals of five millimeters.
These balls can be used to estimate lengths when, for instance,
using analysis software.
