3. Using the phone
3.1 Calls
3.1.1 Make a call
1. Lift the handset and dial the number.
3.1.2 Preparatory dialling
1. Dial the number first. If you make a mistake press
p to delete the last digit.
2. Lift the handset to dial.
3.1.3 End a call
1. Place the corded handset back on the telephone base.
3.1.4 Receive a call
When you receive a call, the base rings and
flashes on the display.
1. Simply lift the corded handset to answer the call.
3.2 Adjust the earpiece volume
1. During a call, press u or d to increase or decrease the volume. There are 5
levels to choose from.
3.3 Mute
You can mute your base so that you can talk to someone nearby without your
caller hearing.
1. During a call, press
S. The display shows
MUTE ON
and your caller cannot
hear you.
2. Press
S again to resume your call.
3.4 Intercom
3.4.1 Make an internal call
You can make internal calls between the base and handset.
1. Press and hold
* on the base.
2. If only one handset is registered to the base that handset will ring.
3. If more than one handset is registered to the base scroll
d to the required
handset and press
m
.
3.4.2 Receive an internal call
1. Lift the handset to answer the call.
Note
If during an internal call you receive an incoming call, you will hear the alert tone
on the base. Replace the handset and pick up again to answer the call and end
