Using your cordless handset
8. Using the phone
8.1 Switch the cordless handset on / o
Press and hold n when in standby mode to switch the handset on or o.
8.2 Calls
8.2.1 Make a call
1. Press
t.
2. When you hear the dial tone, dial the number.
8.2.2 Preparatory dialling
1. Dial the number first. If you make a mistake press
p to delete the last digit.
2. Press
t to dial.
8.2.3 End a call
1. Press
n, or place the handset back on the charger.
8.2.4 Receive a call
When you receive a call, the handset rings and
flashes on the display.
1. If the handset is o the charger then press
t to answer the call, or if the
handset is on the charger lift the handset and press
t
to answer the call.
8.3 Adjust the earpiece volume
1. During a call, press u or d to increase or decrease the volume. There are 5
levels to choose from.
8.4 Mute
You can mute your handset so that you can talk to someone nearby without your
caller hearing.
1. During a call, press
S. The display shows Mute on and your caller cannot
hear you.
2. Press
S again to resume your call.
8.5 Intercom
8.5.1 Make an internal call
You can make internal calls between the base and handset, or if you have more
than one handset registered to the base, you can make internal calls between two
handsets.
1. Press
I on the handset.
• If you have only one cordless handset the base is called automatically,
