Standard. The design of your communicator (PIC) complies with this u pdated
Standard.
You may choose to turn the transm itter off in your communicator at any time.
Refer to “Setting Transmitter Off Mod e” on page 44.
Electronic Devices
Most m odern electronic equipment is shielded from RF energy, however, R F
energy from y our communicator may effect in a dequate ly shielded e lectronic
equipment.
Check with the manufacturer o r it’s repr esentative to deter mine if the
following equipment or systems are ad equately shielded from external RF
energy:
Motor Ve hicle e lec tronic and enter tainm ent systems (standard and any
add-on equ i pmen t.
Medical Eq uipm ent, hospital or per sonal ( such as pac emakers, hear ing
aids, etc.) .
Turn OFF your communicator in hea lth care facilities when a n y regulation
posted in the areas instructs you to do so. Hospitals or health care facilities
may be using equipment that could be sensitive to external RF energy.
