TheSETDISTANCEmethodallowsyoutodirectlyadjusttheknowndistancevalueusingleftandright
arrows
(Figure15).Thisrequiresyoutoknowthedistanceaheadoftime.Oncethedistancehasbeen
enteredcorrectly,simplypresstherightarrowpagebuttonatthebottomrightofthepageandyouwill
betakenintotheFiringStopwatchpage(Figure17).

7.1.2.5.2 MeasureDistanceOption
TheMEASUREDISTANCEmethodallowsyoutosettheknowndistancevalueusingtwoshotsofthe
laser(Figure16).Simplyfirethelaserattheentrydistancepointand,whilemaintainingyoursame
position,presstheDISTANCE2areaandfirethesecondshotatthe
exitdistancepoint.Ifthedistanceis
lessthantheminimumallowedvalue,aDISTANCETOOSHORTmessagewilla ppear.Oncethedistance
hasbeenenteredcorrectly,simplypresstherightarrowpagebuttonatthebottomrightofthepage
andyouwillbetakenintotheFiringStopwatch
page(Figure17).
NOTE:Thestopwatchfunctionalsorequiresthestartingandstoppingpointsforthedistance
measurementsbelocatedinthesamedirectionfromtheuserandtheentryandexitmarkersmustlie
inastraightlinefromtheusertoavoidanyangularerrorsinthedistancecalculation.
