brightnesswillremainforapproximately5seconds
afterthetriggerreleaseandthenwilldimfor
approximately10secondsatwhichtimeitwilldisappear.

ThelasershipswithtwoUSBportsenabl edtoallowthelasertoactaseitheradeviceorahost.Note:
thelasercannotactasbothadeviceandhostatthesametime.

debugging.TheType‐AportisthelargerstandardUSB
connectorhousedinsidetherubbercoveratthetoprightsideofthehandle.
7.4.2 DevicePort(Type‐B)
TheType‐BportallowsthelasertobepoweredbyaUSBhost,typicallyaseparatecomputer.TheType‐

portisthesmallermicro‐USBconnectorhousedinsidetherubbercoveratthetopright sideofthe
handle.
7.5 SUPPLYINGPOWER
Powercanbesuppliedtothelaserintwoways–byusingreplaceablebatteriesorbyattachingacorded
powersource.
7.5.1 BatteryPower
ThelasercanbepoweredupusingfourAAbatteries.Thebatteriesarereplaceableforconv enience
withoutrelyingonanexternalchargingsystem.
IfrechargeableNiMH
batteriesaretobeused,makesureyoudonotmixtherechargeablebatteries
withalkalinebatteries.
Tousethebatterypoweroption,simplyopenthebatterydooratthebaseofthehandle,insert4AA
batteriesaligningthebatteriesproperlyasindicatedandcloseandlatchthebattery
door.
7.5.2 CordedPow er
ThislasercanalsobepoweredusingacordedconnectiontoeitheraUSBhostortothevehicle’s12volt
accessorysupply.
