Recoil Starter
Therecoilstarteris usedto startthe engine.
Primer
Theprimeris usedto pumpgas into thecarburetorand
aidin startingtheengine.Useit to start a coldengine,
butdonot useit to restarta warmengineaftera short
shutdown.Referto theEngineManualpackedwithyour
edgerfora detaileddescriptionofall engine-related
controlsandcomponents.
Blade Control
Locatedon theupperhandle,the bladecontrolmustbe
depressedagainsttheupperhandlein ordertooperate
theunit.Releasingthe bladecontrolstopsthe engine
andthe edgerblade.
Blade DepthControl Lever
Thebladedepthcontrolleverislocatedon the rightside
oftheupperhandle.It is usedto controlthe depthof the
cut.Thefurtherforwardthe bladedepthcontrolleveris
moved,the deeperintothesoiltheedgerbladewillcut.
Bevel Adjustment Lever(if soequipped)
Thebeveladjustmentlever,if soequipped,is located
on thefront, leftportionof the edger,behindthe edger
blade.It is usedto varythe angleof theedgerblade
betweenoneof threepositionsfor edging/trenchingor
bevelededging.
Curb Height Adjustment Lever (ifsoequipped)
Thecurbheightadjustmentlever,ifso equipped,is
foundon the rearportionof the edger.Whenplacedin
an applicablenotch,it aidsin stabilizingthe edgerwhile
edginggrassalonga curb.
IMPORTANT:Becomefamiliarwithall the controls
beforeoperatingtheedger.
