Why MTD 31AS3BAD516 Snow Blower engine fails to start?

Your MTD Snow Blower engine may fail to start due to several reasons: * The choke might not be in the ON position, so move the choke to the ON position. * The spark plug wire might be disconnected, so connect the wire to the spark plug. * The fuel tank might be empty or contain stale fuel, so fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. * The engine might not be primed, so prime the engine as instructed. * The spark plug might be faulty, so clean, adjust the gap, or replace it. * The fuel line might be blocked, so clean the fuel line. * The safety key might not be fully inserted into the ignition, so insert the key fully into the switch. * The fuel shut-off valve might be closed (if equipped), so open the fuel shut-off valve.
