  If your MTD Snow Blower fails to discharge snow, the chute assembly could be clogged, a foreign object might be lodged in the auger, the auger control cable may need adjustment, the auger belt might be loose or damaged or the shear pins may be sheared. To address this, stop the engine immediately, disconnect the spark plug wire, and clean the chute assembly and inside of the auger housing with a clean-out tool. Also remove any foreign objects from the auger. For cable and belt issues, refer to the corresponding sections, and replace any sheared pins.

To resolve this, move the choke to the CHOKE position, connect the wire to the spark plug, fill the tank with clean, fresh fuel, prime the engine as instructed in the Engine Manual, clean/adjust/replace the spark plug, insert the safety key fully, or connect the extension cord to a grounded AC outlet.
