Overhauling the mulcher
As well as carrying out the maintenance tasks listed above it is also essential to check the front
plate guards or chain guards and the rear rubber guard at the mulcher outlet regularly to make sure
that they are intact, undamaged and fully functional.
The plate guards mounted at the front of the mulcher prevent objects from flying forward in the
direction of the driver.
The design of the housing with the rubber guard mounted at the rear of the mulcher enables the
housing to be safely lowered onto the ground and also prevents objects from being thrown
backward.
These components are absolutely essential for the mulcher to operate safely and if they become
damaged they must be repaired or replaced before the mulcher can be used again.
Remove all dirt or debris from in front of, behind, or between the top plate guard mountings.
Changing the plate guards
Lower the mulcher, remove it from the tractor, bring it into a horizontal position and
support it with the support leg.
Remove the split pin from the mounting rod securing the plate guards.
Standing beside the machine
remove the mounting rod completely from the side of the
mulcher, ensuring that the plates cause no injury when they fall
. )
Replace damaged guards with Original Müthing protective guards, push the rod
back into the machine from one side and thread in the guards.
