Why is there low heat or low flame on my Napoleon PRESTIGE 600RB when the valve is turned to high?
    • G
      george07Jul 31, 2025
The low heat or flame could be due to a few reasons. If you are using propane, ensure you are following the correct lighting procedure, with all gas grill valves in the off position when you turn on the tank valve, and that you turn the tank on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. If you are using natural gas, the supply line might be undersized, so the pipe must be sized according to installation code. For both types of gas, make sure you pre-heat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes.

What to do if there are excessive flare-ups or uneven heat on Napoleon Grill?
    • R
      rickygonzalezAug 5, 2025
Excessive flare-ups and uneven heat can occur if the sear plates are installed incorrectly, if the grill isn't preheated properly, or if there's excessive grease and ash buildup. Make sure the sear plates are installed with the holes towards the front and the slots on the bottom. Pre-heat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. Clean the sear plates and drip pan regularly, and do not line the pan with aluminum foil.

How to fix Napoleon PRESTIGE 600RB Grill burner that won't light with the igniter but lights with a match?
    • W
      William LyonsAug 10, 2025
If your burner lights with a match but not the igniter, first replace the battery with a heavy-duty 'AAA' battery, installing it with the positive terminal down. Then, check that the electrode wire is firmly pushed onto the terminal on the back of the igniter. If you have a two spark system, ensure you are using a two spark igniter. Also, make sure the collector box is tight, and the gap between the electrode end and the collector box is between 1/8 - 3/16", adjusting the gap by bending the box in or out. Closing the air shutter slightly might also help.

Why do burners on my Napoleon Grill burn with a yellow flame and smell of gas?
    • A
      andreslopezAug 15, 2025
A yellow flame accompanied by the smell of gas indicates that there may be a spider web or other debris in the burner, or that the air shutter is improperly adjusted. To resolve this, thoroughly clean the burner by removing it. Additionally, slightly open the air shutter according to the combustion air adjustment instructions.

Why does the 'paint' appear to be peeling inside the lid of my Napoleon PRESTIGE 600RB?
    • D
      dburtonAug 20, 2025
The peeling is not a defect but is caused by hardened grease that dries into paint-like shards and flakes off. Regular cleaning will prevent this. The finish on the lid and hood is porcelain and will not peel.

What to do if burners will not crosslight each other on Napoleon PRESTIGE 600RB?
    • D
      Dana McclainAug 26, 2025
If the burners on your grill won't crosslight each other, it's likely due to plugged ports along the back of the burner. You should clean the burner ports.
