Why is 'paint' peeling inside my Napoleon ROGUE 425 lid?
    • M
      Monica MccormickSep 10, 2025
If it appears that 'paint' is peeling inside the lid or hood of your Napoleon Grill, don't worry, this is not a defect. The finish on the lid and hood is porcelain and won't peel. The peeling is caused by hardened grease, which dries into paint-like shards that flake off. Regular cleaning will prevent this.

What to do if Napoleon Grill side burner won't light with igniter?
    • D
      Dr. Katherine RayAug 23, 2025
If the rear and side burners of your Napoleon Grill won't light with the igniter but will light with a match, first, replace the battery with a premium heavy-duty battery, ensuring it is installed correctly. Also, check that the electrode wire is firmly pushed onto the terminal on the back of the igniter. Finally, lifting flames on the burner can cause this issue, close the air shutter slightly.

Why is the heat so low on my Napoleon ROGUE 425 Grill?
    • S
      Sara ChapmanAug 25, 2025
Low heat or low flame on your Napoleon Grill, even when the valve is on high, can occur due to improper lighting. Ensure you follow the lighting procedure carefully: all gas grill valves must be off when you turn on the tank valve. Turn the tank on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. Also, preheat the grill with the main burners on high for 10 minutes.

What to do if my Napoleon ROGUE 425 Grill has excessive flare ups?
    • M
      melissa68Aug 26, 2025
Excessive flare-ups or uneven heat on your Napoleon Grill can be caused by sear plates installed incorrectly. Make sure the sear plates are installed with the holes towards the front and the slots on the bottom. Improper preheating can also cause this issue, so preheat the grill with main burners on high for 10 minutes. Lastly, excessive grease and ash buildup on sear plates and in the drip pan can contribute to flare-ups. Clean the sear plates and drip pan regularly, and do not line the pan with aluminum foil.

If the burner output on the 'high' setting is too low on your Napoleon Grill, it could be due to a lack of gas, a pinched supply hose, a dirty or clogged orifice, or spider webs/debris in the venturi tube.
