  Excessive flare-ups or uneven heat in your Napoleon Grill can occur due to several reasons: sear plates might be installed incorrectly (ensure the holes face the front and the slots are on the bottom), improper preheating, or excessive grease and ash buildup on the sear plates and in the drip pan. To resolve this, preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes and regularly clean the sear plates and drip pan. Do not line the pan with aluminum foil.

  If the infrared burner on your Napoleon Grill flashes back, it could be due to ceramic tiles overloaded with grease, clogged ports, overheating from inadequate ventilation, cracked ceramic tile, or a leaking gasket. First, turn the burner off and let it cool for at least two minutes. Then, relight it and burn on high for at least five minutes until the ceramic tiles glow red evenly. Ensure that objects or accessories cover no more than 75% of the grill surface. If the issue continues, allow the burner to cool and inspect closely for cracks. If cracks are found, contact your authorized Napoleon dealer to order a replacement burner assembly.

Why is the heat low or the flame low on my Napoleon ROGUE-1 Grill when the valve is on high?

  Low heat or flame in your Napoleon Grill when the valve is turned to high can be due to a few reasons. For propane grills, it could be an improper lighting procedure. For natural gas grills, it might be an undersized supply line. For both types, it could be improper preheating. Ensure the lighting procedure is followed carefully, with all gas grill valves in the off position when the tank valve is turned on, and turn the tank on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. Ensure the pipe is properly sized according to the installation code.
