Overview

The NetZero Kalfire E-one Electric Fireplace is an innovative appliance designed to create a realistic fire experience through hologram technology. It is intended for indoor use and must be installed by a qualified installer in accordance with national and local regulations. The fireplace operates on a 120V 60Hz electrical supply and must be grounded.

Function Description:

The E-one fireplace utilizes hologram technology with a glass reflector to project realistic flames. It includes an Atmos Heating element that provides atmospheric warmth, enhancing the fire experience. The fireplace can be controlled via a remote control, offering various settings for flame appearance, lighting, sound, and heating. A main On/Off switch is located on the front panel, behind a hinged cover, for primary power control. Additionally, a hotel switch allows for external On/Off control by connecting two luster terminals.

Usage Features:

The fireplace offers extensive customization options to create a personalized fire experience.

  • Flame Appearance: Users can choose between three flame types and adjust the flame intensity to their preference. The flame height is adjustable from positions 1 to 5, with a 6th position for "Flame Shuffle mode" which creates dynamic flames by shuffling through different heights. Note that the flame shuffle feature is not available with flame type "A".
  • Atmos Lighting: This feature projects shadow effects onto the logs, enhancing realism. The intensity of Atmos Lighting is adjustable from level 0 to 5. A "Dynamic Atmos Lighting" mode creates a dynamic flicker effect within the interior. When the fireplace is in Anti-Reflect mode, Atmos Lighting intensity can still be adjusted.
  • Ember Bed: The ember bed simulates the glowing bed of a real fire. Its intensity is adjustable from level 0 to 5. A "Dynamic Ember Bed" mode creates a dynamic flicker effect at the bottom of the logs.
  • Sound: Users can choose between the crackling sound of pine wood or the calmer sound of beech wood. The volume of the sound is adjustable from level 0 to 5, providing a sensory experience that complements the visual flames.
  • Heating: The Atmos Heating element provides warmth. The heater outlet becomes hot during operation and should never be covered.
  • Power Button: The power button on the remote control has three functions: On, Anti-Reflect, and Off. A brief press turns the fireplace on, initiating a 30-second startup sequence. A brief press when the fireplace is on activates the "Anti-Reflect mode," which keeps the fireplace attractively lit without burning, providing a nice view of the logs. Pressing and holding the power button for two seconds completely shuts off the fireplace.
  • Remote Control Pairing: Upon first use, the remote control automatically connects to the fireplace. If a specific symbol is projected on the rear screen, manual pairing is required by simultaneously pressing two designated buttons on the remote until a red LED light flashes. Successful pairing is indicated by the disappearance of the symbol.
  • Adjustable Feet: The fireplace is equipped with adjustable feet to ensure it is level during installation.
  • Log Set Installation: The log set, made of fragile material, must be placed precisely as shown in the instructions to ensure the projected flame aligns correctly with the logs. Each log is molded with a letter on the bottom for easy identification. Vermiculite and lava stones are sprinkled over the ember bed to complete the realistic appearance.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the fireplace.

  • Safety First: Before any cleaning or maintenance, ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker panel and that the heating element is cool.
  • Cleaning the Fireplace: The black powder-coated parts of the fireplace should be cleaned with a microfiber or other soft cloth. Avoid using solvents, aggressive cleaning agents, sandpaper, steel wool, brushes, or scouring pads, as these can scratch the coating.
  • Cleaning the Glass Reflector: The glass reflector is susceptible to stains and fingerprints and must be handled with care, preferably with the supplied gloves during installation. For cleaning, use only clean water; cleaning products are not recommended. Dust the window or dry it with a clean microfiber cloth, ensuring the pane is completely dry to prevent water residue. Do not use abrasives, cerium oxide, or hard materials like steel wool or razor blades.
  • Accessing the Glass Reflector: To clean the glass reflector, the front window must first be removed. This involves loosening screws to slide up retaining clips, then rotating the window up and sliding it out of its holders. Once the front window is removed, the top of the glass can be leaned down and carefully removed from the fireplace, allowing access to the glass reflector for cleaning. After cleaning, replace the glass reflector and front window, ensuring the retaining clips are snug but not overtightened.
  • Front Window Adjustment: If the edges of the front and side windows are not straight, the tilt of the front window can be adjusted. This involves opening the front access cover, loosening the two outermost screws (without removing them) to loosen the bracket that supports the glass. Adjust the tilt by tightening or loosening a specific screw on both sides of the fireplace, then retighten the outermost screws once aligned.

The NetZero Kalfire E-one is designed for ease of use and maintenance, providing a safe and aesthetically pleasing focal point in any room.
