Hydrostatictransmission(HST)neutraladjustment
CheckingHSTreturnto"NEUTRAL"
1.Placerangegearin"LOW"rangeandenginespeedat
highidleposition.
2.Drivetractorinforwardandreverse,removefootfrom
HSTpedal.Tractorshouldstopandrearwheelsshould
notrotatewhenpedalsareat"NEUTRAL"position.
3.IfrearwheelsrotatewhenHSTpedalsareinthe"NEU-
TRAL"position,theHSTcontrollinkageneedstobe
adjusted.
Adjusting"NEUTRAL"settingofHSTcontrollinkage
1.Parkthetractoronlevelhardsurface,withtheengine
turnedoff.
NOTE:Beforeraisingtherearwheels,installchocksbetween
thefrontaxleandengineframetopreventthefrontofthe
tractorfromoscillatingsidetoside.
2.Raisethereartiresoffthegroundandsupportaxles,
withsafetystands.
3.Placethe4WDcontrolleverinthe"2WD"position.
4.Theforwardandreversepedalsshouldbeatthesame
height.Adjustpedalheightbylooseningbolt(1)and
rotatingshaft(2)asneeded.Afterheightadjustment
isobtained,holdshaft(2)inplacewhentighteningbolt
(1).

5.Afterpedalheightadjustment,iscompleted,checkthat
HSTneutralswitch(3)isdepressedwhenthepedals
areinthe"NEUTRAL"position.Ifswitchisnotde-
pressed,loosenbolts(4)andadjustpositionofswitch
sothatswitchisdepressed.Tightenboltsafteradjust-
mentiscompleted.
6.Startthetractor,placetherangegearin"LOW"range
andenginespeedathighidle.
7.Depressbothforwardandreversepedalsseparately.
Releasepedalsandcheckifrearwheelsrotatewhen
pedalsreturntothe"NEUTRAL"position.
8.Ifrearwheelsrotatewhenpedalsareatthe"NEU-
TRAL"position,adjustHSTlinkagebylooseningjam
nuts(5)androtatingrod(6)untilwheelsdonotrotate.
Tightenjamnutsafteradjustmentiscompleted.
9.Removetractorfromsafetystands,whenadjustment
iscompleted.
