Panic attack Each remote keypad has 2 panic attack buttons,
(page 10) which, when pressed simultaneously trigger the
alarm.
Part Set Setting of the system with user defined zones
(page 17) deactivated. The Nexus 8 incorporates 2 part-set
modes.
P.I.R. Triggers the alarm upon detecting the movement of
(page 11) infra-red body heat.
Remote Keypad Remotely controls the operations of the panel and
(page 9) incorporates twin panic attack buttons.
Remote Keypad PA Programs the keypad’s panic attack buttons on or off.

Reset Mode Determines whether the customer as well as the
(page 20) engineer can reset the panel.
Tamper Circuit Gives wiring constant protection from interference or
damage.
Walk Test Allows the imitation of a burglary in order to test each
(page 22) zone is working.
Zones Circuit loops to which detection devices are
connected.
Zone Type Zones can be programmed as defined types (alarm,
(page 19) fire, panic attack etc.) in order to aid a more
professional installation.
Zone preset options Pre-programmed zone options which are tailored to
(page 18) suit common building layouts.
GLOSSARY OF TERMS
Bell Box Comprising of a sounder and strobe the bell box is
(page 8) located externally.
Bell Cut Off Time Amount of time the panel alarms for when it has
(page 20) been triggered into alarm mode
Door Contact A magnetic switch detecting the opening / closing of
(page 14) the door it is fitted to.
Engineer Code 4-digit code entered by installer to access engineer
(page 16) menu giving programming,test and system options.
Factory Defaults Panel settings which are preset before programming.

Final Door Set Overrides exit time by setting the alarm
(page 19) upon leaving the building.
Forced Set System is still set in an event that would
(page 21) otherwise stop it working leaving the building
unprotected.
Full Set Complete setting of the system, all zones are
(page 17) activated.
Gear Tray Removable tray to which the panel PCB is attached.
(page 5) The gear tray aids wiring and protects the PCB.
Internal Sounders The panel comes complete with an internal sounder,
(page 15) which is fixed on the underside of the gear tray. Up to
two more can be used with the system.
Master User Code 4-digit code used to access master user menu from
(See user guide) which panel functions are activated / deactivated.
Normal User Code 4-digit code used to access the normal user menu
(See user guide) which gives limited panel function control.
