Removing the insulation
The insulation can be removed, to facilitate handling in
confined spaces. (the diameter of the water heater dia-
meter without insulation is VPB 500 Ø 670 mm for
VPB 750 Ø 770 and for VPB 1000 Ø 870 mm).
Loosen the screws along the joining plate on both
jacket halves.
Lift off the top cover. OnVPB 500 the lifting eye on the
top must be unscrewed first.
Remove the insulated jacket halves, the outer diameter
of the heater becomes 100 mm less without the insu-
lated jackets.

Carry out assembly in reverse order. If the screws are
difficult to fit in the old holes, the joining plate can be
turned upside down, which produces new holes in the
insulated jacket halves.
Fit the enclosed insulation plug in the hole left by the
lifting eye. Finally fit all the enclosed cover discs on each
connection by pressing them over the connections.
NOTE
Fit the cover discs before the pipe installation is
made.
