FFD adjustment
・ Make the lens focusing adjustment for alignments from WIDE through TELE by using washers (#608A-D and #627A-D)
so that the FFD measurement value within standard of the below.
How to calculate "washer amount" for the FFD adjustment
Note:
If the washer (#627) is thickened, the FFD value of the Tele-side shifts to minus direction.
Note:
If the washer (#608) is thinned, the FFD value (of the both Wide and Tele side) shifts to plus direction.
① Measure Δ FFDW (Difference from the reference value "-2.357" at Wide) and Δ FFDT (Difference from the refer

ence value "-2.357" at Tele) by using the lens unit checking tool.
② By assigning the values of Δ FFDT and Δ FFDW to the next formula, calculate "washer amount A" for #627 (the 1st
lens group positioning adjustment).
・A ＝ ( Δ FFDT －Δ FFDW)/1.84 + ("washer amount" for #627 attached)
③ By assigning the value of "washer amount A" to the next formula, calculate "washer amount B" for #608 (the CCD
positioning adjustment).
・
B ＝ Δ FFDW + (0.26 ｘ A) + ("washer amount" for #608 attached)
④ Select the washers (#608 and #627) of which the thickness is approximate to the calculated A and B.
