Cell broadcast
You may be able to receive messages on various topics, such as weather or traffic conditions from your service
provider (network service). For available topics and relevant topic numbers, contact your service provider. To
turn on the service, see Cell broadcast settings in Cell broadcast settings p. 54.
Select Menu > Messag. > Options > Cell broadcast. In the message list, you can see the status of the topic, the
topic number, topic name, and whether it has been flagged for follow-up.
A packet data connection may prevent cell broadcast reception.
Service command editor
To enter and send service commands (also known as USSD commands) such as activation commands for
network services to your service provider, select Menu > Messag. > Options > Service command. To send the
command, select Options > Send.
