• Lock the keypad
When you lock the keypad, you prevent accidental key presses—for
example, when
your phone is in a pocket or purse. This feature is called
keyguard.
Activate keyguard
There are three different ways to activate the
keyguard:
At the Start screen:
• Press and hold .
• Press
Menu
.
• Press
Menu 9 (Keyguard).
When Keyguard is turned on, you might be able to make calls to the
emergency number that is programmed into your phone. For example, you
could dial 911 and press . When keyguard is on, however, you cannot
use the emergency key 9.
Note: Keyguard is automatically turned off when the phone is
connected to a car kit.
Deactivate keyguard
1 Press Unlock.
2 Press
OK.
OR
• Press and hold until the message Unlock keys? appears.
• Press
OK.
