Front (secondary) camera troubleshooting
Context
First verify the problem by testing the camera with a camera application.
In case of image quality (IQ) related problems:
•
Check the problem with a reference phone to see that it actually is a problem and not some
misunderstanding of the camera capabilities.
•
Check that nothing is blocking the camera’s field of view, such as a broken camera window, dirt, or a
window protective foil still attached.
If the camera does not start, locate the problem using camera tests in the Care suite. Other checks without
going under the cans:
•
Visually inspect component/PWB damages
•
Using a multimeter, measure the camera related external components (resistors and capacitors) that are
visible next to the camera
