Using UltraViolet™

UltraViolet is an all-new way to collect, access, and enjoy your ﬁlms and TV shows in the cloud.

Purchase a Blu-ray, DVD, or digital video with the UltraViolet logo, and you can stream or download your ﬁlm or TV

show to your UltraViolet-compatible devices, including your NOOK.

Signing Up for an UltraViolet Account

To sign up for an UltraViolet account and get started with UltraViolet, do this:

1. Visit www.uvvu.com to set-up an UltraViolet account, and link your UltraViolet account to your NOOK account

from your NOOK HD or HD+. (See “Linking Your UltraViolet Account” for instructions on linking your ac-

count.)

2. Buy ﬁlms with the UltraViolet logo.

Shop for DVDs, Blu-rays, or digital videos with the UltraViolet logo online at NOOK.com or on your NOOK®

HD or HD+.

3. Add UltraViolet ﬁlms to your digital collection in the cloud.

To add a DVD or Blu-ray to your digital collection, simply follow the instructions inside the packaging. If your

UltraViolet account is linked on your NOOK® HD or HD+, digital purchases will be automatically added to your

UltraViolet collection, free with purchase.

4. Watch however you choose, at home or on the go.

Instantly stream or download UltraViolet ﬁlms and TV shows from your NOOK Library on your NOOK® HD

or HD+.

Redeeming Your UltraViolet Code

To redeem an UltraViolet code for a DVD or Blu-ray ﬁlm you purchase, follow the instructions located inside the

DVD or Blu-ray box. You may be instructed to visit the Web site of a ﬁlm studio to register for an account and enter

your UltraViolet credentials.

Linking Your UltraViolet Account

To link your NOOK account to your UltraViolet account, do this:

1. Tap the gear icon in the Status Bar to open the Quick Settings window.

2. In the Quick Settings window, tap All Settings.

3. In the list of settings categories on the Settings screen, tap Account Settings.
