What to do if NordicTrack NTL77806.1 Treadmill power does not turn on?
    • M
      Michelle ChandlerJul 30, 2025
First, ensure the power cord is properly plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is connected to a grounded outlet. Use a surge suppressor meeting the specifications on page 9. Note: This treadmill isn't compatible with GFCI outlets. Then, with the power cord plugged in, verify that the key is correctly inserted into the console. Finally, check the reset/off circuit breaker on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes, the breaker has tripped. Wait five minutes before pressing the switch to reset it.

Why does my NordicTrack NTL77806.1 Treadmill power turn off during use?
    • S
      Shannon HernandezAug 5, 2025
The treadmill may be turning off during use due to a tripped circuit breaker. Check the reset/off circuit breaker and, if tripped, wait five minutes before resetting it. Also, ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; if it is, try unplugging it, waiting five minutes, and then plugging it back in. Another possible cause is the key; try removing and reinserting it into the console. If the issue persists, please see the front cover of this manual.

To recalibrate the incline system on your NordicTrack Treadmill, insert the key into the console, then press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is changing, remove the key. After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill should automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level.

What to do if NordicTrack NTL77806.1 walking belt is off-center?
    • J
      Justin PorterAug 17, 2025
If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn. If it has shifted right, turn the left rear roller bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Avoid overtightening. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill briefly to check the alignment. Repeat as needed until centered. If the walking belt slips, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Tighten both rear roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn using the allen wrench. The belt should be tight enough to allow lifting each edge 3 to 4 inches from the platform. Keep the belt centered. Plug in the power, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until properly tightened.

What to do if NordicTrack Treadmill walking belt slows when walked on?
    • G
      grothAug 25, 2025
First, ensure you are using a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets all specifications described on page 9. If the walking belt is overtightened, it can decrease performance and damage the belt. Remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use an allen wrench to turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. The belt should be tight enough to allow lifting each edge 3 to 4 inches off the platform. Keep the belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until properly tightened. If the walking belt still slows when walked on, please see the front cover of this manual.
