Pressure Discharge Valve Service Kit - P/N 1028308
Use this service kit to replace the pressure discharge valve in any
ProBluet adhesive melter.
WARNING: Risk of personal injury or equipment damage! Refer to
the safety information provided in the melter manual before servicing
the melter. Failure to comply with the safety information provided
can result in personal injury, including death.
Tools:
4-mm hex wrench
13-mm open-end wrench
Pressure discharge valve
6-mm Tee
M5 x 50 screws
3. Switch the melter off.
4. Open the filter access door, and then remove
the top panel, the air filter, and the back panel.
2. Relieve the system hydraulic pressure. Refer to
the melter product manual for information on relieving
hydraulic pressure.
1. Operate the melter and discharge hot
melt until the level of hot melt in the tank is
below the tank fill line.
9. Apply Never-Seez lubricant to the three
M5 x 50 screws, and then use each screw,
and an M5 washer, to secure the valve to the
manifold. Tighten each screw to
3–4 Nm (30–37 in./lb).
11. Reconnect both of the air lines to the
Tee, replace both panels and the air filter, and
then switch the melter on.
5. Disconnect both air lines from the top of the
pressure discharge valve.
7. Pull the valve out of the manifold.
8. Apply Parker lubricant to the O-rings on
the new valve, and then insert the valve into
the manifold.
10. Thread the new 6-mm Tee into the
valve and tighten the Tee securely.
6. Remove the three screws that secure
the valve to the manifold.
