Why is my Nortrac 40XT Tractor randomly shifting gears?

Random gear shifting in your Nortrac Tractor can occur if the shift lever fork is worn; repair or replace it. Also, the gear guide plate might be severely worn, requiring replacement of the gearbox guide plate. Additionally, worn fork slots on the shifting fork and the meshing bush can cause this issue; replace the shifting fork and the meshing bushing. Finally, a severely worn locating pin of the interlocking pin and shift fork can lead to random shifting; replace the interlocking pin and the shift fork shaft.
