5. Focus the laser beam on the sample surface by moving the optical tube along Z with
the screw 3 (Fig. 3-16) until diameter of the laser spot image is at its minimum
(Fig. 3-17).

6. Move the optical tube in the XY plane to place the laser spot slightly below the center
of the screen (Fig. 3-18).
