How to solve burner shutting off too soon on my NTI Trinity Ti 100 Boiler?
    • D
      Donna FigueroaAug 21, 2025
If the burner on your NTI Boiler shuts off before reaching the set-point temperature and the burner light goes out, it is due to the reset calculation being used to lower the HI setting. If an OD probe is in use, the HI setting is calculated using the formula in Section 8. Adjust the RES setting as necessary.

What to do if my NTI Trinity Ti 100 bangs or hisses?
    • E
      Emily FreyAug 22, 2025
If your NTI Boiler bangs or sounds like a kettle while the burner is running, it indicates insufficient flow. Ensure the plumbing matches the manual's diagrams. Check for faulty pumps or stuck end switches. This issue can lead to the boiler overheating.

What to do if NTI Trinity Ti 100 Boiler will not stay lit?
    • R
      rknightAug 25, 2025
If your NTI Boiler won't stay lit, it indicates a lack of a flame signal. If the burner light on the Sentry is going out, check the condensate drain for blockages and the inlet piping for ingested snow or water. If the flame rod gets wet, it may need replacement. Check for resistance from the flame rod to the ground (it must be an open circuit). Verify proper polarity of line and neutral wiring to the boiler.

What does ER6 mean on NTI Boiler?
    • D
      Daniel BrownAug 26, 2025
If the ER6 error code appears on your NTI Boiler, it indicates a problem in the ignition sequence, possibly due to a faulty igniter, flame sensor, gas valve, or improper line pressure or combustion. Check the ignition sequence to identify the malfunctioning component. Also, check for 24V between terminal B on the terminal block and F1 on the Sentry plug. If not present, a limit has tripped.

What to do if ER5 On Display DHW Problem appears on NTI Trinity Ti 100?
    • M
      Mark SanchezAug 28, 2025
If you see 'ER5 On Display DHW Problem' on your NTI Boiler, it could mean there isn't enough flow to prevent the boiler from tripping on the limit. Verify a minimum of 6 GPM flow through the boiler and indirect circuit. You can also reduce the indirect Aquastat setting or increase the difference between the Lo Setting and the indirect Aquastat setting. Another possibility is an indirect limit or wiring failure.

What to do if Sentry Controller Locks-up in NTI Trinity Ti 100?
    • K
      kevin46Aug 30, 2025
If the Sentry Controller in your NTI Boiler locks up, it may be due to excessive noise, current, or voltage spikes in the 120V power supply. Check the voltage at the wires going to the A-C-T terminals of the boiler. Check the magnitude of the line voltage power supply. Check the Amp draw of output C1 and Ap (max 3 Amp), and the Amp draw of the control on start-up (max 6 Amps).

What does ER1 mean on NTI Trinity Ti 100 Boiler?
    • W
      William JacksonAug 31, 2025
If 'ER1' is displayed on your NTI Boiler, check if water is dripping on the sensor. You may need to reduce the Hi setting and ensure proper water circulation within the system.

Why does NTI Boiler display goes blank?
    • R
      ramirezderrickSep 2, 2025
If the display on your NTI Boiler goes blank, check for 120V between terminals L1 and L2 at the Sentry. If 120V is present, turn the power off, remove the line voltage harness from the Sentry, and check for resistance between L1 and L2 of the control; if the circuit is open (O.L), the internal fuse has blown. Check for shorts in wires leading to circulators before replacing the controller. If 120V is not present, check the wiring and for 120V at the source.

What does ER3 mean on NTI Trinity Ti 100?
    • F
      frankryanSep 4, 2025
If 'ER3' is displayed on your NTI Boiler, check the wiring. Note that ER3 will appear if the sensed temperature is less than 32°F. If resetting the power corrects the problem, the Sentry control had locked up.
