Oil Change and Oil Filter
Replacement
Oil and oil filter are to be replaced at
the same time. Oil change should be
done with a warm engine.
The engine oil can be very hot. In
order to avoid potential burns, do not
remove the engine drain plug or the
filter cover if the engine is hot. Wait
until engine oil is warm.
Ensure vehicle is on a level surface.
Remove dipstick.
Clean the oil drain plug area.
Place a drain pan under the oil drain
plug area.
Unscrew oil drain plug.

Allow enough time for oil to flow out
of the oil filter.
Unscrew the oil filter cover.

Remove old filter and replace with
new oil filter.
Check the cover O-ring and change
it if necessary.
Screw oil filter cover in place.
Wipe out any oil spillage on engine.
Change gasket on oil drain plug.
Clean qasket area on engine and oil
drain plug then re-install plug.
Refill engine at proper level with the
recommended oil.
